Grain and Raw Material Procurement
BALTIC PORK is one of the largest grain buyers in the region, ensuring a stable and predictable sales market for local farmers. Although we grow grain ourselves on 500 hectares of land that we own, we purchase the majority of barley and wheat for pig feed production from other Latvian grain growers. We also purchase various raw materials for pig feed production.

Requirements for Produce
The produce offered for procurement must meet the following requirements:
If the admixture of other grain species exceeds 5%, the grains are classified as a grain mixture.
The total amount of admixtures in the grain must not exceed 2%. Admixtures include stones, grass, weeds, unthreshed grains, straw, chaff, and other unwanted admixtures.
The presence of pests in the grain is not permitted.
Testing for pesticide residues in the grain will be carried out.
The content of pesticide residues must not exceed the maximum allowable limit values set in effective regulatory acts.
The content of mycotoxins and heavy metals must not exceed the maximum allowable limit values set in effective regulatory acts.
Black grains, diseased grains, and grains with visual or other signs indicating the potential presence of mycotoxins are not permitted.
The division of acceptable grain quality groups may be changed depending on the specific grain crop and the specifics of the harvest year.
